Jimmy White introduced a packed house to his brand new club, Jimmy Whites Sports Lounge with a great night of exhibition snooker & pool. Free entry to all & Jimmy played 5 frames of snooker with local players and 15 games of pool!  It was a great night and both a pleasure and an honour for me to be asked by Jimmy to ref the evening.  We  are sorry that we were unable to hold the Bob Mason Open this year.  This was due to a very full callendar else where and of course the  change of hands & renovations occuring at Woking. 

We're pleased to  advise you that the new owners of Woking, which will now be "Jimmy  Whites Sports Lounge" (JWSL) have indicated that they will be happy for  the Bob Mason Open to return next year at JWSL. We hope to run this  & perhaps other tournaments at JWSL which promises to be an exciting  new sporting destination in Woking. 

Having recently been to see how work is progressing at the new JWSL we  have no doubt at all that Bob himself would be delighted that his wish, quite simply that the site remain dedicated to cue sports , will be realised with the opening of an exciting new vibrant sports bar , led indeed by one of snookers living legends - Jimmy White. We wish Jimmy & everyone who is working hard to make this exciting new venue a reality in the near future, the best of luck for their new venture - cant wait to see it !

The 900 is as many of you will know a fast paced and exciting 'shoot out' type format which has proved massively popular in recent years. Held on the arena table at the Reading Crucible this 'invitation' event will start on February 26th, 2025 and will run every Wednesday for a series of events leading up to a grand final in April. The action will start at 7.30pm every Wednesday

Each week to the left of / above this article will be 'next Wednesdays' line up.

We are massively proud to be involved with this event and also to be working with Jason Francis who many of you know does great things in the world of Amateur and Professional snooker.

SNOOKERZ is delighted this year to continue our affiliation with the Universities Pool Council , for the BUCS-UPC Snooker Championships, which are this year being held at Towers, Mansfield and Cueball in Derby . 13-16 March. 

Congratulations to this years Team Winners ; Imperial College A and to the silver medalists, Essex University.

Also huge congratulations to this years individual champion,  Vishwajeet Mohan

Snookerz is delighted to announce we are sponsoring and working along side the Universities Pool Council at the BUCS-UPC Snooker Championships 14th - 17th March 2024 at Woking Snooker Centre. With around 200 players expected this is one of the largest amateur snooker tournaments (by way of numbers entering) there is and we are hugely proud to be involved. . This event returns to Woking having been a huge success last year. Spectators are of course welcome, but entry to the tournament is restricted to Students only and is via the UPC Website . 

This is always a great, vibrant event and we're really looking forward to supporting and working with the UPC at the event.
